8 Months today!

Our sweet little Rebecca is eight months old today! Rebecca and I went out for a few errands this morning, and then headed home. After lunch, I attempted to get some pictures of her on her eight month anniversary.Rebecca is so fast and crawling everywhere, that I had to switch to the big camera and I did manage to get a few shots of her.

Rebecca was playing in her room. She finally figured out how to hold onto a toy and crawl.

Trying to figure out " How do I get out of here?"

Sitting in Rachel's room and harassing Lola

Rebecca was trying to open the dresser drawers.

I bought her the bigger hairbows today at Target- looks cute.

Rebecca is growing fast- she now weighs nineteen pounds! She is eating lots-carrots,squash, turkey, greenbeans, bread, yogurt, peaches, and she loves to drink from a sippy cup. She is in a size four diaper, is wearing mostly nine months clothing. She usually takes two naps a day and sleeps through the night!
We love you baby girl!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. Our friends came over with their three kids and we had a lot of fun, ate way too much food, laughed and talked until late. The kiddos all played really well together- no fighting and nobody got hurt! So happy about that, seems like someone always gets banged up and needs a Band-Aid or two. Just a few photos of the day to share.

Our lovely table- Rachel and I made placecards for everyone.

A close up of the name cards- really cute and easy to do.

Rebecca checking out the stairs before dinner.

The entire herd/gaggle?-not sure of the correct term. All the turkeys!

Then on Friday, we did head out and do a little shopping. We went to an outlet mall and got some great deals. I found the cutest pajamas for the girls- we took pics last night. I am having trouble to get them out of the camera, but will put up soon. All the shopping made us hungry so we went to The Longhorn for lunch. They give you a loaf of bread for appetizer, and I think Rebecca ate half the loaf herself. She loves to eat!

Trying

It is the day before Thanksgiving and I am trying. Trying to sooth little Rebecca, who has been cranky and fussy for the past few days. She cries and screams unless she is being held or sleeping. Yesterday I even took her into the doctor to make sure nothing was wrong. The doctor said she is fine, and looks to be working on some teeth? So we went and bought some fancy vibrating teether toys, that of course she doesn't want to chew on.

I am trying to get my house clean and organized for our Thanksgiving guests tomorrow. Made a little bit tricky with a baby in my arms- with a runny nose, and a five year old who wants to go outside and play in the dirt. And today they both seem to be on each other's nerves- Rebecca is getting into all of Rachel's toys.

Rebecca trying her best to be just like her big sister.

Also, I am trying to get a decent picture of the girls for a Christmas card photo. We did a little photo shoot this morning. Did not go well at all. Rebecca was crying and Rachel wanted to watch cartoons.  I also tried to down load the photos from the memory card, but for some reason, it just won't work.

This was one picture I managed to get of two very wiggly little girls. Guess I will have to try again another day.

Rebecca is also trying to feed herself these days.  It is cute to watch, but can be trying on my patience. I do feel bad for her, when she can't figure out how to get the last bite of cracker in her mouth.

Enjoying a rice cake

Now I am off to try and think of something to make for dinner. And of course, I know tomorrow in another day, this too shall pass, and the Lord is my strength!

Friday Photo

We had another busy week!  The girls and Raphael have all been sick, and Rachel stayed home from school to rest and get better. She was back to school today and was excited to see her friends.  This morning Rebecca and I were brave and went to Walmart for some Thanksgiving shopping. Our Walmart is always crazy busy and it stresses me out especially with a wiggly little baby in the buggy. But it wasn't too bad this morning and Rebecca was on her best behavior!  Afterwards, I went through Chik-fil-A for a peppermint chocolate chip milkshake. They.are.the.best.  After we were home, I tried taking some pictures of Rebecca, but she is not into sitting still these days.

Here she is banging on the window and wanting out to play with Lola.

After school, a friend of ours called to see if Rachel wanted to come over for a playdate. Rachel was quite excited, and didn't want to pose for a photo, so I took a quick one of her in the car before we left.

There is a blog that I have been reading for about a year. The blog is mostly about a little boy-Stellan, his heart condition, faith in the Lord, and how God has healed him! The writer of the blog is Jennifer, but she is mostly know by MckMama.  Her blog is here http://www.mycharmingkids.net/.    She is coming to Atlanta this weekend, and wanted to get together with her regular blog readers.  I am so excited to go and meet her and her family.  The weather is suppose to be rainy, but I am praying it won't be too wet.  Raphael and the girls are coming along, and I know it will be alot of fun.

One Little Girl with Curls

This past Saturday, Rachel and I went out for a little time together. Rachel's hair was getting a bit shaggy and lots of split ends, so she went in for a quick trim.

Rachel in the chair and Miss Vikki working away.

Miss Vikki decided to make a french braid/ponytail .
It looked cute on Rachel.

Rachel didn't feel like posing for an "after" shot, so this is the best I could get of her.

After her hair cut we headed back towards home for a little lunch out. Rachel decided she wanted to go to a restaurant with a waitress, so we went to Chili's.

Rachel enjoying her soda!

After lunch we went to a toy store and then over to Walmart. I think half of Georgia was at Walmart that afternoon- too many people! We got out of there as fast a possible and then back home to Daddy and Rebecca.

Rebecca has been a busy little bee lately.

Here are a few things she has been up to this week.

Busy swinging at the park.

Busy playing and trying to eat leaves with her sister

Busy standing up in her crib. Raphael had to drop the
mattress down so she can't fall out.

Busy getting into the dog's water dish!

Busy playing and making a mess with her toys

Busy practicing her "standing up" skills and quite proud
of herself too.

Busy looking cute!

Friday Photo

We have had a pretty quiet week around here. The girls are both doing great. Miss Rebecca is crawling everywhere and seems to be busier each day. She had playgroup this morning, and then took a good long nap.  Rachel and I are getting ready for our Friday Night Family Movie Night, so I am off to pop some popcorn. Just a few photos of the girls.

Trick or Treat!

This past Saturday was Halloween and Rachel was so excited to dress up and go trick or treating. The only problem was it was a rainy day. And both of the girls have been fighting colds all week. I didn't want Rachel to be disappointed, so I found some "inside" trick or treating for her. First, we went to Publix and she played games and got lots of goodies. Then we headed over to the Mall of Georgia, along with a thousand other little kids. It was a mad house! I have never seen so many people in the mall. We had to stand in line for candy. Rachel only went to a few stops before she decided that she would rather go to Wendys for dinner.
Raphael and I were glad to get out of the madness and Rachel did have fun.

This was in the early afternoon. Rachel was so excited that she had on her outfit by ten in the morning. She pretended to be a cheerleader all day. Rebecca was wearing her Georgia Bulldog outfit to show her support for the Dawgs. They had a big football game against Florida on Saturday, and lost big time.

Rebecca is so wiggly and always crawling around, so I stuck her in a little chair to try and get her photo. I put a little headband on her, but she was not too happy about it. I thought she looked cute!

Rebecca was dressed up as a little bug.

The hat was a little bit too big. It gave me and Rachel a good laugh.

The view from the backside.
