It Was My Birthday............

So, yesterday was my 43rd birthday! Hard to believe that another year has come and gone.  I did my regular thing while the girls were in school and then we met with my parents for dinner at the Longhorn and we came home for cake and ice cream.
A beautiful and delicious cake that my Mom and Dad brought for the night. It was great having them here to celebrate with me.
Yay! I love wreaths, I am a bit of an addict :)

In other news, we are just doing the regular stuff. Trying to survive February and get to March. I am over winter and ready for spring with sunny days and green grass. Rebecca started back to soccer and had her first game on Saturday.
We spent the afternoon with my parents at a little bookstore. Rebecca and Papa played chess and the rest of us looked at books, it was very relaxing.
Saturday night, Raphael took Rebecca to a Daddy & Daughter Dance at the school.
She was so excited to go out for a special night!

Life Lately

So, I am waaaay behind on the blogging again.  We had a computer issue and I just procrastinated and didn't blog. We have been living life as usual, but a few pictures to help us remember what we were up to lately.......................................................

February started off with me and Mom driving up to Ashville NC for a women's retreat. We had never been there before and it was a nice weekend away.  We had a little free time in the afternoon, so we took a tour of the Biltmore home.
We came home on Sunday to a Super Bowl party at our house. I was horrible at
taking pictures, but we are excited to have a finished basement!!
Raphael and Papa took the girls to Dad and Daughter night at Chick-fil-A.
It tried to snow again. Once Rebecca was home from school, she bundled up and
went outside to play before it all melted away.
Rebecca and I had a lovely morning at the Muffins with Moms at school.
And then she had a Valentine exchange and a fun run--busy girl!
The girls spent the weekend with my parents and Raphael and I went
out to celebrate Valentines Day.  We had dinner at Seasons 52 and
then went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for drinks and desserts.
We had little gifts for the girls on Sunday and they made us heart shaped
brownies and blessed me with popcorn and homemade cards.
Love these smiling people.
I think that is about it for now. I am going to try to do better :)
