The News Room

Since the start of school, Rachel has been working in the "news room" at school each morning. Several students rotate through and learn what it takes to produce a news cast.
I went a couple of times to watch the show and see how Rachel was doing.
The first week, she was one of the camera operators.
Then she got a turn at the news desk as an anchor.
They share the lunch menu, talk about upcoming school activities and of course the weather!
This week, she is working behind the scenes with the monitors and teleprompters.
It's been a good experience for her and she seems to be enjoying it.
One of the perks of being a fifth grader!

Photos from my Phone Friday

We are into the third week of school and trying to figure out our schedule. It is still strange to me to have both of the girls away at school all day. The house is so quiet......

The girls are back at AWANA this year. They had a carnival and Rachel won a gold fish . We kept the fish overnight, and then went to live with other fish friends at our neighbor's house.
Relaxing after a hard day at school.
                                                                           Bubbles
This pretty sunflower sprouted up in a pot. Love sunflowers.
Last week I was "on call" for jury duty, but never had to go!!
Spent an afternoon with our friends at their pool.
These girls are something else.
At the library and she wanted her picture.
AWANA game time fun. Looked fun and super dangerous.
Rachel and Daniella bonding at the bus stop.
Love this.

Tomlin Trip Top Ten

Last month, Raphael's family came to visit us for a few weeks. I took way to many pictures and in an attempt to keep from posting them all, I am going to try and post ten (or so)....................

1.  Welcome to Georgia.
                                                                                                                                                                       2. Panama City Beach (PCB)-we spent a few days in Florida

3. Pier Park- an outdoor mall near the beach

4. Baby Emma- the newest member to the family

5. Shipwreck Island Waterpark

6. The water and sunsets-we saw beautiful sunsets and I could watch
the waves for hours on end. So peaceful.
I walked the beach one morning and passed by these teenagers. Each
one listening to the waves and reading their Bibles.
7. Random Beach Pictures
8. Afternoon at the Braves game

9. Time with Abuela

10. Stone Mountain

Thankful for our time together.
