Centennial Olympic Park

When the girls and I went to Imagine It ! last Friday I decided that since we were going all the way to downtown Atlanta that we would make a day of it.

So after lunch, we walked across the street to Centennial Park.  The park was designed when Atlanta hosted the Olympics. It is beautiful and has a playground, fountains, restaurants and ice skating in the winter.

We went to the playground for awhile, but it was so hot that Rachel really wanted to get to the fountains.
The fountains are surrounded by flags of the world, statues and other Olympic reminders.

There were so many people at the fountains and the girls were getting overwhelmed, so we took a snack break!

It was a long walk back to the car- Rebecca didn't want to walk, but didn't want to be the stroller either. I carried her for awhile and finally put her in the stroller.  I took a few more pictures of the park & other things that caught my eye.

We had a fun day and checked two more things off our "summer bucket list" !
