At Last!

This Sunday night Rachel finally lost her first tooth! She was beyond excited and I was so happy for her!!

                                                                  

Weekend Update

I can't believe how fast our weekend went by! We had lots going on--Rockfest at Rachel's school, Flashlight Easter egg hunt, friends over for dinner and other busyness.

Rachel and I went to her school's Rockfest again this year. Just like last year, we didn't make a rocket, but had lots of fun watching. I almost got hit by one-some of the rockets go crazy! We were leaving and ran into her science teacher-Mr.Young- he organizes the event. He told Rachel she could borrow one of his rockets if she wanted to try launching one. So she gave it a try.

I won't even pretend to understand the science behind the rockets, but you have to fill them up with water first. Then get your eye protection on and head to the launch pad.

 Pump with air and then pull the pin.

Her rocket did pretty good. Maybe next year we will get our act together in time and actually try and make a rocket.

Later that night we went to our neighbors for an Easter egg hunt at night. Last year, I stayed home with Rebecca, so it was fun to watch the kids. The party started while it was still light out and there was a bounce house. Rebecca had the time of her life jumping. We had to bribe her with candy and pull her out!

 

Happy Birthday

                                                      
                                                            Today is my Dad's birthday!

My Dad is a wonderful man- patient and kind. He has got to be one of the hardest workers I know and always has a kind word to say & looks for the "positive" in all situations. He loves the Lord and has encouraged me so many times over the years.

And he is the best Papa two little girls could ask for!

Nada

Nada. Zero. Zilch. Nothing.  I must being having some sort of blog writer's block. I just haven't been in much of a mood to blog or doing anything else for that matter.  My "to do" list is super-duper long and I feel like I really need to get my act together and doing some projects around the house before Rachel is out of school in about one month! 

We have had a busy week- playdates, park days, MOPS, MOMS club, AWANA and the weekend is looking full of activity, so hopefully my blogging will get better.  Just wanted to say "hi" and that we are still alive and kickin'.

Weekend

Well, we made it through spring break 2011.  We had lots of fun, but I have to admit that I am thankful Rachel is back to school tomorrow!  We had a pretty laid back weekend- the girls "helped me" wash the car and we played alot in the backyard. Just a few pictures from Saturday to see what we were up to.

That.....is what Rachel and I did yesterday.  Rebecca went to the babysitter and I took Rachel out for a little mom & daughter time.  We had pizza for lunch, rode the caurosel, saw the movie Gnomeo & Juliet and then did some shopping. It was a fun day!

What's Going On

Today is the first day of Spring break!! It was so nice to sleep in this morning and Rebecca slept until 9:30!!! I went in and checked on her, because she is always awake by 7:30 so I was a little worried. She is fighting a cold, so guess she needs extra sleep.  Rachel has a friend over for playdate and we are staying at home today.  We did some spring cleaning and watered the plants this morning.

Yesterday before church we took the girls to get their hair cut.  It had been over a year since I had Rebecca's hair trimmed and she really needed it.

Rebecca got to sit by herself on a booster seat. She did really good and seemed to like the attention.

At school on Friday all the classes had spring parties. I went to Rachel's class and helped out. They ate and made a craft.
