Fun Times

Well, my parents left this morning to head back home to Montana. We had good visit with them and the girls are already missing their grandparents. Rebecca asked me several times today where Nana and Papa were at -bless her heart.  Since this blog is our digital photo book and memory keeper, I wanted to post a few more pictures of the past days with my parents.

We spent alot of time outside enjoying the nice fall weather.

Went to see the Puss in Boots 3D movie.

Baking with Nana.

Rachel and Papa went fishing.

Played at the INK museum.

Ate really good pizza at the coolest Mellow Mushroom we have ever been to.

Me and Dad at Snow Mountain

And ended the week decorating a tree and opening gifts from Nana and Papa.

Snow Mountain

We have been enjoying having my parents here to visit us and are trying to get in as many activities as we can before they leave.  Today we went back to Stone Mountain Park and spent the day playing in the snow.  We had a lot of fun and the girls loved it!  Here are a few pictures of our day.

It was a great day with the family and I think we will be back next year!

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a great Thanksgiving ! This morning my parents took the girls to the park and spent a few hours playing and enjoying the nice day. We watched a bit of the Macy's parade, the dog show championship and some football.  Raphael cooked a delicious turkey dinner for us and then we went to a nearby park to get a few family pictures.

An Afternoon in Athens

Sunday after church we took a road trip to Athens to see the Georgia Bulldogs women's basketball team play.  My parents and I love watching college basketball and I thought since Rachel just started basketball that taking her to a game might inspire her.

The game was fun to watch and I think Rachel might have learned something about basketball. She did spend a lot of time watching the cheerleaders on the big screen. And the Bulldogs won the game!

Rachel talked her Papa into buying her some pom-poms.

We had a great time and the campus was beautiful. We drove past the football stadium and I hope we can go to a game some time next year.

Stone Mountain Christmas

We decided to go to Stone Mountain on Saturday evening and check out their Christmas lights and activities. It was a beautiful fall night and all the lights were pretty. There were lots of different events going on- we watched the parade, took a train ride, drank a lot of hot chocolate, watched the Polar Express and took in all the sights and lights.

The Snow Princess was very pretty. At the end of night she flies above the marketplace and they make it snow and set off fireworks- it was quite the sight!

There were fire pits in the main square for roasting marshmellows and to warm up around.

Rebecca is still a bit leary of people in costumes, so this was about at close to Santa that she would get.

We had a great night together and enjoyed the park.

The Lunch Bunch

My parents arrived Wednesday night to visit us for Thanksgiving. The girls are so excited to have their Nana and Papa here! So far we have had lunch with both of  the girls at their schools. On Thursday, Rebecca's class had a Thanksgiving Feast. I don't think any of the kids really understood what the party was for, but had a good time anyways.

Rebecca was so happy to have us visit her class. She was "reading" a book with Nana and Papa before the party.

And then today, we went and had lunch at Rachel's school.

We have busy weekend planned and are looking forward to having fun with Nana and Papa.
