Photos from my Phone Friday

*** So I wrote this a while back and it didn't post for some reason?, so I am posting it now :) **

It's October! I was at Costco last week and they have Halloween stuff and Christmas décor out already! My brain just can't think that far ahead :).  Anyways, a few pictures of our going ons.......

Raphael's birthday was yesterday!
We had my parents over and had some cake and ice cream.
It was a nice little get together to celebrate Raphael.

Yesterday was 60s and 70s dress up day for Rebecca at school.
This picture came up on my Facebook memory the other day.
Hard to believe she was ever this little.
Snapchat filters! We usually check out the filters while we wait
in the car rider line before school starts.
We all went to see the Atlanta Braves play a game last weekend.
They are building a new baseball stadium, so we went to the second to
last game on Saturday night.
At church right now we are doing "At the movies" series and there
are always movie characters wandering around for a photo op.
And we are still in soccer season. Last weekend, Rebecca was goalie
and she also scored a goal. It's fun to watch the girls and see they are getting better.

All of us ladies are heading up to Chattanooga TN for a girls weekend.
Hope it will be a lot of fun !

Photos from My Phone

As usual, I am behind with all the blogging. We have been on the go a lot the past few weeks. So, before I forget, a few pictures of where we have been................................

I made the girls watch "Finding Nemo" with me and then the
next day we went to see " Finding Dory". I really liked it.
We celebrated Father's Day. We went to church for Papa Palooza and then
a big lunch for Raphael and my Dad. It was great to have my Dad here.
Summer reading at the library.
I took the girls to the park to play in the streams and cool off.
Rebecca had SonShine camp each morning at 9, but Rachel didn't go to
tennis until 10, so we went for breakfast at the Waffle House.
We had our house painted !!
I hosted a little party for my MOMS club friends.
Hanging out at Nana and Papa's house and enjoying late summer nights.
Cleaning out all the junk from the bedrooms!
I paid Rachel for every stuffed animal she gave away :)
I tried the spin class at the gym and lived to tell about it.

We try to get in as many days at possible at the pool !

Photos From My Phone Friday

Happy January!! This was the first full week of school for the girls since they went back after Christmas vacation and it felt like a long week.  All of our usual activities are back on schedule and I seem to being having a hard time adjusting.

We did celebrate New Year's Eve and the girls both stayed up until midnight.  We played games and ate lots of snacks and it was fun.
At midnight we went outside and banged on pots and pans. I am sure our neighbors with the baby loved us :)
Lots of play  dates and friends over to visit .
We ventured to the library and Rachel finally got her own library card! The girl is a book worm and she was pretty excited... she can check out 75 books at a time!
                                                                    LaLaLoopsy Love
We all went ice skating one afternoon and this was the only picture I took. Rebecca is getting better at skating each time she goes, but thankful for the skate-mate to help her out.
Last weekend, Raphael and I went to Chateau Elan for a cooking class. There were three other couples and we all had our own little cooking station.  It was interesting and our chef, Michael, was super nice and very patient.
We got to keep the lovely hats and aprons. The menu was mussels. duck, and cheesecake. I had never eaten mussels or duck before, but it was good.
It was a lot of fun and we would try it again in the future.

And that's about it. Monday is MLK Jr. day, so everyone has the day off and looking forward to sleeping in !

Photos from my Phone Friday

Lately, Lola has been wanting to walk to the bus stop with me in afternoons to pick up Rebecca.
We had new carpet put in our house! I still can't believe how much I love the new carpet. A crew of guys showed up and re carpeted the whole house in just a few hours- it was impressive.
I have been on a reading kick lately. This book was amazing. The story of a pastor and his family that had one of their daughters die unexpectedly at age 5. No doubt, this family loves Jesus.
And this Jen Hatmaker book was so true and funny. Lots to think about in here.
We went to Lake Lanier for the last time this summer.
The girls and I went to a wedding for Judy and Pete.

Judy and Pete were married, had several children and then ended up getting divorced. For years they didn't talk and didn't see each other.  A couple of years ago, Judy was in a car accident and severely hurt. She and her ex-husband started talking again. And a long  story short-- they got remarried! There was not a dry eye in that church because we all knew what had occurred to get them back together. The pastor reminded us all " God can fix broken things!"

Judy and Pete and all these kids! Judy has taught children Sunday school and AWANA for years. The kids all love her and she loves them. She wanted a picture with all her "kids".
The girls tried out the photo booth at the wedding reception.

And today is our 16th wedding anniversary!!

Photos From my Phone Friday

Since I didn't blog for awhile, I have some major catching up to do......
We made a trip to the Apple store at the mall. Rachel and Adan both went home with ipad minis!
The girl that helped us was so nice and very patient :)
The girls and I took Abuela to the pottery painting place for a little "girl time". Each of the
girls painted a piggy bank and then made a little memento for Perla to take back to Panama.
At the end of July, we have lived in Georgia for 9 years!!
Both of the girls had a teacher meet and greet before school started. It was chaotic as
usual, but fun to see friends and get excited for school starting back.
I still can't believe that Rachel is in middle school !! She was comparing schedules with
some of her friends. So far, so good with the new school. While we were at Rachel's school
it started to rain, thunder and lightening-- a lot! The power at school went out and we had
to run to the car. We got pretty wet, so I had to take a picture.
Legos have taken over our living room. It took me three hours to build
this barn for Rebecca, but she plays for hours, so it was worth it.
The girls have been bugging me to take them to The Golden Coral
for lunch, so I finally did. They loved it, especially the chocolate fountain!
Thank you Nana and Papa!!
#straighthairdontcare
I ran a little 5k with some friends and I came in 2nd for my age group!
So I stayed and received my fancy trophy, because I don't think I will get one again .............
On the American Idol Coca-Cola couch.
Rebecca and I  had never been to the Coca-Cola museum, so one day after
church we toured it. Very interesting and glad we went.
The girls with their Daddy.

That is it for today. Thankful it is Friday!!
