Catching Up

We are on spring break right now!! It is so nice to have mornings to sleep in and days that we don't have to rush anywhere.  I have been behind with blogging, so I hope to get caught up.  A look a few things we did before spring break...................

Rebecca's school has a fundraiser Gala night each year. Raphael and I
went with my parents and it was a great night.
There were all sorts of gift baskets, experiences and trips to bid on. The school was
able to raise quite a bit of money. My parents bought a piece of art work that the kids
made at school.  We ended up winning "name the library" for Rebecca. So next year,
the library at school will have name that she chose.

I think that spring is officially here. All the trees are blooming and getting leaves.
Raphael and I ran a 5k that his work helped to sponsor. I hadn't run a 5k
in a long time, but we both did pretty well.

We made it to Atlanta and went to a car show. So many cars. It was fun to walk around
and check them out.

Rebecca was in children's choir at church and they had their spring show last week.

It was a good show and all the kids did really well, Rebecca liked choir, so she might go back in the fall.

That is it! Looking forward to spring break and hopefully trying a few new places we have never been.!

Eight is Great

Yesterday, Rebecca turned eight years old!!

She has been counting down the days to her birthday since February!
Finally the day arrived. We started the day with birthday donuts.
We let her open a few gifts and then off to school.
I stopped by school at lunch time and brought cookies for all the kids.

After school we played for awhile and then went for a birthday dinner.
Rebecca wanted Macaroni Grill, so we met up with my parents.
We came back home to open more gifts and have cake and ice cream.
Raphael brought these candles from Panama that are pretty much
little fireworks. Amazing and a little scary too :)

This year, for a "friends" party, we went with "less is more".
Rebecca's first friend at Sage School was Anna and they have been
fast friends.
Last Friday, we took Anna for lunch at Chick-fil-A and then went to a nail salon.
The girls got manicures and I got a pedicure. It was fun to watch and listen to them
chat away and interact with each other.  Thankful that Rebecca has a good friend like Anna.

Hard to believe that Rebecca is eight years old. Time really does fly by.
We are so proud of her and love her sweet spirit.

Life Lately

Well, it is the middle of March, so guess I better update the blog :).   We have been up to life as usual....

Rebecca's school celebrated Dr. Seuss Day.
Everyone got to dress up in something related to him.
We went with a basic Cat in the Hat.

Most Friday mornings, Rachel and I go to the Waffle House.
She has her waffle and bacon and we chat, then off to school!
March weather has been crazy... warm and then super cold.
But on a nice day we all went for a walk in the woods.
The girls and I have been talking about Lent.
I am doing a Bible study from She Reads Truth and I order this game
to teach the girls about Lent.
I love my dentist! I had an appointment and finally got to meet
the puppies! They are brother and sister and spend their days
at the office.
Rebecca was able to participate in AWANA Games this year! Her team did great
and the Sparks won first place!! So proud of her!
We had a rainy night and the girls wanted to go out and play in the rain,
so we did.
Game night.
We have Luck Charms on St. Patrick's Day.
We had a busy Friday...
Muffins with Mom
Lunch and a St. Patty's Day mint milkshake.
And we had to go see Beauty and the Beast.

Finally, this... The lady who has designed my blog, sent me all the old blog designs that she
had made for me over the years. Can't believe the girls were ever that little.

Febraury Fun

Well, it is the last day of February, so I better blog about what we have been up to the past few weeks.

The girls spent the weekend with my parents and Raphael and I were able to attend a couple of
different marriage events going on. We went to Fight Night at 12Stone with Drs. Parrot.
And the night before we were at Hebron church for a Valentine's Date night.

Soccer games in the rain :)

The girls were out of school for President's Day, so we went for a
walk at the park.
Rachel had tennis and we spent time at the park playing.
Rebecca and I made treats and delivered them to our neighbors.
We have been taking Lola to the vet.
Celebrated my 44th birthday!!
We met for dinner at a new pizza place at the mall, it was good food!
Birthday pictures with the family and opening gifts.
Raphael had it all decorated really cute for me.

Legos and Lola.

Catching Up

Life got a little busy, I was really sick for a week and I have been lazy about blogging, so going to try and catch up a little on here before any more time passes.

At the beginning of the month, my Mom and I went to a women's retreat
in North Carolina. We went last year and this year was just as good.
We had a little free time and drove into Asheville. We went to an old
fashioned mercantile kind of store. We stopped by a famous chocolate shop and
walked over to see Saint Lawrence Basilica.
The theme this year was ABIDE and we all got a tshirt.
We came home from NC and headed straight into a Super Bowl party!!
We were pretty excited for the Falcons to be playing in the big game.
Amy's first Super bowl!
We had some friends over. The game started off great, but we
were not happy with the final score.
Rebecca is back to soccer. She is playing with the same girls
from the fall, so that is fun!
Rainbow on the way to school.
Wearing her charm bracelet from Abuela!
I was sick.
Snap Chat filters are a fun way to pass the time.
And we celebrated Valentine's Day!
Thank you Papa Johns for heart shape pizza!!
This bus is goin to be the death of me! Each morning all traffic
stops and the kids climb on. But the kids are never waiting at
the bus stop, so it takes forever... like 10 minutes!
Just drives me crazy :)

That is about it.
Looking forward to the weekend!!
