Rebecca's playgroup went to an indoor playground place today. She ran and jumped for a few hours and I was hoping for an afternoon nap, but no luck!
I'm looking forward to the holiday weekend!

Yesterday
Yesterday after school I took the girls to see Ms. Gwen for some much needed haircuts.
After haircuts we went for a quick dinner and then I took the girls to AWANA.
The beautiful sunset on our way home from church.

Meet and Greet
This morning Rebecca and I went to her preschool to meet her preschool teacher for this year. Her teacher seems really nice and Rebecca is ready to get back to school and see her friends.
Rebecca and her teacher Mrs. Lesa.
Rebecca was really happy to have a lollipop in her hands.
She starts back to school after Labor Day and I pray it will be a good year for her.
A few other random pictures of Rebecca from the past few days---
A shopping trip to Costco and a hotdog lunch.
Rachel trying to help Rebecca learn to ride her bike.

Our Saturday
We had a beautiful sunny day, so I took the girls to Lake Lanier for some water fun.
All worn out!
After the lake we went to the grocery store, but made a quick stop at the ice cream shop that is right next to the store.
We played out in the backyard and started a fire for some smores.
The girls and I pulled out this weed. It was taller than I am.
My garden was pitiful this summer, but Rebecca and I planted these flower seeds and they actually grew.
Fun on the swings.

Goings Ons
I haven't been in a blogging mood lately. I am trying to get back into the swing of the things with Rachel back to school. Rebecca goes to preschool after Labor Day and I am hoping to get some sort of schedule/routine going.
A few pictures of the girls and what the have been doing lately.
Rebecca has been playing in the space behind the couch and next to the windows. She calls it her "boat" and manages to get all sorts of toys and goodies back there. She usually has at least one blanket and sometimes Lola will wonder back and take a nap in the boat.
I took the girls to the Butterfly Festival. I didn't realize how popular it was, so it was kind of crazy busy, but we had fun. There were lots of arts and crafts for the kids and exhibits to learn about butterflies and other insects.
I gave up on the trying to finish our Alphabet Summer idea. We did manage to do the letter K- we went to Krispy Kreme for donuts and then made Kool-Aid playdough. It smells really good and Rebecca is still playing with it.
My friend Meredith has several horses and Rebecca is in awe of them.
Rebecca decided to take out every measuring cup and spoon we own and line them all up :)
The girls do seem to spend more time fighting then loving each other lately, but the other day I spotted them sitting with each other and actually getting along!

The Wharf
I think this should be the last of our pictures from our trip to Alabama :)
On our last evening we went took the girls to The Wharf- an outdoor mall with a ferris wheel, amphitheater, restaurants and a marina. It was beautiful night and perfect for walking around.
The first thing we did was ride the ferris wheel. It is over 112 feet high and gives a good view of the marina. The girls loved it!
We had some ice cream and the girls found a Build-a-Bear store, so we had to get them each one.
There were lots of restaurants that looked so good. They had an outdoor bar and a really good guy singing some songs. Raphael and I decided we need to come back some day when the girls are grown.

The Girls on the Beach
A few more pictures of our vacation to Gulf Shores.
We love the beach and spent many hours playing in the waves and digging in the sand.
