Photos from my Phone Friday

Rebecca was at SonShine camp again this week and it was crazy hair day. She wanted pigtails. I am the worst at pigtails, so I did my best.
We love happy hour at Sonic--1/2 price drinks!!
The World Cup soccer championship is going on right now, so we have been watching soccer.
This sport makes me exhausted just watching. I don't know how they can run for so long?
I was folding laundry and Lola came and sat in the middle of my clean sheets!
Gabby, Gigi and Rachel.
These girls had a pool party and sleepover at church. It was a reward for finishing their entire AWANA book this past year.
I finally painted Rebecca's room and the girls wanted to help.

I saw this sign on a blog a few months ago and it made me smile.
From Mix and Match Mama blog

The girls and I are flying to Montana today to visit my family!
We are so ready for some time away, excited to see my family and make some memories.

King of Pops

A few weeks ago, the girls and I went to Athens for the afternoon and visited a new sprinkler park.
I loved it, because the water was warm!!
After sprinkler park we drove downtown to walk around.
I have been wanting to try a popsicle from the King of Pops. The girls and I walked all around and could not find the popsicle cart, so we gave up and had ice cream instead. We were walking back to the car and found the popsicles! So we had popsicles too :)
We tried strawberry lemonade and tasted great.
And had to take a picture with the Georgia Bulldog.

Photos from my Phone Friday

Rebecca graduated from her swimming lessons.
She was pretty proud of herself.
Rachel has been going to a church camp each day this week.
They pack a lot into each day and Rachel comes home tired.
Rebecca was back to her SonShine camp.
I think this is her fourth year going? It is kind of a vacation Bible school mixed with preschool and she loves it. She likes going to "camp" like her big sister does.
During Rachel's tennis lessons each week, I am the ball girl.

Father's Day 2014

We tried our best to pamper Raphael for Father's Day this year. The girls and I did a little shopping earlier in the week. Rebecca waited as long as she could, but finally had to go and wake up Raphael so she could give him her gift.

We went to The Cheesecake Factory for brunch, and it did not disappoint!
Raphael and his girls.
They sure do love their Daddy.
We went to church and they had all sorts of activities and food for the Dads. Raphael had promised Rachel that we would go see the movie, Maleficent, so we took the girls.

And that was Father's Day!

And a little blast from the past---
me and my Dad.

Photos from my Phone Friday

The past few weeks have been good and full of summertime activities.........

Rebecca has been asking for a puppet theater, so I made her one.
A deer was in our neighbor's backyard the other night.
The girls and I watched it for quite awhile before it disappeared.
                                                             We have been swimming.
And running through the sprinkler
Rebecca has been taking swimming lessons.
We all went to see Ms. Gwen for haircuts.
Rachel spent her mornings at tennis camp.

Looking forward to the weekend!!

Anna Ruby Falls

This weekend we decided to get out of the house and take a trip to Helen, GA. We took a short walk through the woods to see the Anna Ruby Waterfalls.

Smokey the Bear was there too. After our hike, we drove into Helen and walked around for awhile. We visited the ice cream shop, a candy store and did a little window shopping before we drove home.
I love those nesting dolls. so pretty.  And the sign---

"May your troubles be less and your blessings be more."

Field Trip Friday- Tellus Science Museum

We are in our second full week of summer vacation. I love summer and not having to follow a strict schedule, but I don't want to waste our time away. So, I thought on Fridays, we could go a "field trip". Visit someplace we haven't been and maybe possibly learn something too.

We started with a trip to Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, GA. The museum had exhibits about motion, fossils, minerals, gravity and sound.

Lots of planes, trains and automobiles to understand motion.

The girls loved the area with minerals and gemstones. We were able to go panning for stones and the girls got to take home a little bag filled with the stones they found.
Digging for dinosaur bones.

We learned about different animals that have lived on the Earth and the fossils left behind.
This exhibit was Rachel's favorite part.
We walked through an exhibit filled with stones and minerals.
There was an entire wall filled with the periodic table and examples of the elements.
The museum was named after Tellurium.

The biggest turtle to live on the Earth.
It was bigger than my car!
We finished with a walk through the dinosaur area.

We also watched a show in the planetarium.
Fun day out with the girls.

Ten !!

                                               Yesterday was Rachel's tenth birthday!!!

Opened her presents and got ready for church.
Rachel wanted to eat at Macaroni Grill for her birthday and then we went to the mall for awhile.

Daniella came over for cake and ice cream.
I made her take a picture with me :)
I still can't believe she is ten years old!
We are proud of the young lady she is becoming.
We love you Rachel!!
